What Varna Pulse covers

Varna Pulse follows the news that matters to people in Varna: decisions of the municipal council and the mayor’s office, roadworks and public transport, the port and the local economy, the tourist season and culture – plus national stories such as budgets, elections, prices and pensions, explained for what they change in the city.

A story starts with what happened and when, then adds the background a reader needs. Older stories stay in the monthly archive with their original publication date.

How Varna Pulse checks a story

A story counts as confirmed when at least two independent sources report it – different outlets or institutions, not two copies of the same press release. A story that rests on a single source carries an “unconfirmed” label until a second source appears.

The original reporting and official documents are linked under every story. Figures such as budgets, prices or wages are taken from the institution that publishes them whenever that source is available.

When a story develops we add the new facts and change the “last updated” date; when nothing has changed, the date stays as it is.

What is automated on Varna Pulse

Software watches local and national news sources, groups reports about the same event and drafts a summary in six languages. A news draft is never published automatically: it waits in a queue until an editor approves it.

Panels such as weather warnings and municipal notices are filled automatically from the public data sources listed below; nobody reviews each update by hand.

One team, five sites

Varna Pulse (news), Varna Now (events and places), Varna Daily (everyday life), Varna Guide (visitor guide) and New in Varna (moving to Varna) are run by one small editorial team. They are not separate publishers: all five follow the same editorial rules, the same checking method and the same corrections process, and each site covers a different need.

We do not accept payment for listings or coverage, and no place on our lists has paid to be included.

How we use AI

AI tools help us monitor sources, draft summaries and translate pages into six languages. Editors set the rules and review sensitive topics; the section above says which pages on this site are published without an editor reading them first.

Some illustrations on this site are AI-generated; they are not photos of the real place or event. “What people say” sections paraphrase recurring public opinions; we never invent quotes, reviews or ratings.

Corrections

If something is wrong, out of date or a place has closed, we check it and correct it. Every page shows when it was published and, when its facts changed, when it was last updated; real corrections are noted on the page itself.
